"If we buy another condo in Waikiki, we're doing it with Andrew. Local Knowledge Andrew knows Waikiki. From top to bottom. When buildings came up when they were last renovated, which plots of land were going to turn into buildings, which aren’t, what new stores are coming up etc. Anything that would affect property values, he was tuned in to. And because he has a long history in the area, he’s also had a ton of experience buying and selling across many buildings, many that we targeted. Extremely knowledgeable, process expertise. This was our second home purchase, one that we specifically bought so we could spend more time with my family in Hawaii and then use it as a rental property as needed. So Andrew had to consider both the buying process (when to submit offers, how long we should set the J1 period, submitting simultaneous offers, etc.) alongside the renting process (what type of rental is the unit zoned for? What laws coming down the pipe might impact that?) He took all of that in stride. No problems on the expertise front. Responsiveness because we submitted so many offers and were doing this all remotely, we were constantly emailing, texting, and calling Andrew. We were not his only clients at the time but he was consistent in either picking up or telling us when he would call back. You will not be left in the lurch with Andrew as your agent. Negotiation Skills, Andrew is aware of the current state of the market and where it’s been over the past few years and beyond. This enables him a strong sense of what a unit is worth given everything it offers (if it’s renovated, and if there's an upcoming work on the building, etc.) While we ultimately made the decision on what to offer, to whom, and when, Andrew was a firm guide in the process. He deserves five stars for how he shows units to remote buyers. I’m from Hawaii but currently live on the East Coast, so my mom could join house tours in person, but I had to watch from FaceTime on Andrew’s phone. He is so good at orienting you on the physical aspects of the space (ex. “I’m 6’0.” and this doorway is kind of low.”, “It feels pretty warm in here even with the AC on.”, “There’s a strange smell in the hallway from the elevator.”) Andrew was professional, easy to work with, and learned what kinds of properties we were interested in so he could target his approach. He was consistently available. We worked with him for more than 8 months and it was quality treatment the whole way through. He is also well-connected in the industry, securing us a home inspector, as well as a property manager, and putting us in contact with other contractors for work we wanted to start as soon as possible. If you’re on the fence, go with Andrew!"
